The Early Bird Gets the Worm!

I am determined not to sort thru picked over costumes this year& panick a few days before halloween! Griffin & I were out running errands & we bought the 1st costume of 2009! I thought for sure he would go for Buzz, but as you can see he opted for Woody! I know I am bias...but how cute is he!!! Love shopping for boys costumes!

Single Ladies

For years I did not recognize one song at MTV's VMA's, but thanks to having a 12 & 9 year , I am back in the loop! Just by chance we watched it live & then taped it b/c the girls had to go to bed. And now that we are even bigger beyonce fans after all the Kanye West drama...the girls and Griffin decided to dance with her as she performed Single Ladies. Hil-a-ri-ous (but I am their mother!)

ps- I just noticed the whipped cream canister in the lower right corner...doesn't every dance party need whipped cream?!

Sick Day

Poor little Griffin has the flu...but he must be on the upswing b/c he is all ready to play pirates & have a sword fight. The power of Motrin!

Davis 4th, UVM Weekend! Part III

Another fun, fast weekend with my my college girlfriends up in Rhode Island. We did not reinvent the wheel...coffee, chatting, diet coke, chatting, cooking, chatting, beach, chatting...oh yeah & a few drinks. I have solidified something that I already knew...I no longer can drink wine!!! Spam, Marinelli, Demore, Dex...thanks for the laughs, parenting tips, recipes, run & more laughs. So sad it was too quick & hard to believe next year will be 20 years since we graduated. As my good friend Kath told me this weekend "proximity is the best predictor in friendships" or something like that ( I had a few drinks at this time)...I think we can all be grateful to the individual who made the room assignments back in 1986!!! (I know Sydney, Josie & Griffin should be thankful!!). Lastly, I know we have gotten together for the past 5 years & we have known each other for 23...but I still learn something knew each year! See you all next September!

Do Not call CPS!

In the midst of a crazy night of homework, running back & forth to the hospital & getting dinner on the table...Griffin decides to use my "colorstay" lipgloss on his face. these pictures are after 18 hours & much scrubbing. The "eye" zones will have to fade on their own. How come the lipgloss stays on the skin much better than your actual lips????

Happy 16th!

Today is our 16th wedding Anniversary & the feelings are the same from what I posted one year ago. We are still laughing (most of the time) & enjoying our journey together. I wouldn't change a thing & know that whatever our future holds, it will be great to have you by my side!!! Hard to believe we met 23 years ago. xoxo.
