The beach provides endless opportunities to have fun! me...I like an umbrella & a book, which I had plenty of time to do. But here's a look at a few other things our kids did to pass the time away. Fortunately, we had a few overcast days so that it was tolerable to be outside.
Well...boogie boarding! The 1st few days our kids were in the water nonstop catching waves. Sydney had a great time riding the board
Here's what happens when you give an almost 4 year old a camera!! I think we need to consider getting him a child friendly camera for a birthday present as he is always snapping pictures with mine.
Visiting Lake Norman also gave us a chance to see our great friends from Kauai- The Hall family (minus Uncle Garrett). So great to catch up - the last time we saw them was in Maui 2005 when I was 4 months pregnant with Griffin. But as good friends always do...we picked off just where we left off. And now that we both live on the East Coast...it will be much easier to see one another.
Thanks to this fun water toy that Greg & Jen have, Griffin & Wyatt were able to "waterski". Love having a child who is not afraid to try anything. Griffin hopped on & started off waving to us. He even tried to crossed the wake & flipped over which did not bother him in the least. Next summer...the real deal.
A day on the water is not complete without Tubing! Everyone had a blast-Griffin & Wyatt did not get to go as fast as they wanted to, but still enjoyed themselves.
Ahhhh, a day on Lake Norman...beautiful, fun, easy, relaxing. Jen & Greg have their routine down. Throw some life jackets on & jump in! Griffin said it was "magical" that he could float ( b/c of the life jacket). We completely enjoyed lake living!
