Disney Day

Yay the weather has warmed up & Griffin & I were headed to the Magic Kingdom to have some fun & so I can walk off some of the post race tightness I was experiencing (code for my bottom was burning). It was crowded. I think I have to accept that there is no longer a slow season at Disney World. We still managed to have fun & ake it back in time to pick up the sisters. I love our afternoon outings.

Celebratory Outing

A friend of mine who also ran the half marathon invited me to a picnic to celebrate a great race. Oh my, a beer has never tasted so good! Beautiful weather, the kids ran around at the park, yummy food & I got to meet some other women runners! Very fun & spontaneous.

Congratulations Griffin & Courtney

The creativity is running deep...who says kids don't know how to make their own fun. Yesterday Cassidy & Josie (big sisters) decided to have a "wedding" for Griffn & Courtney. First came the proposal dinner (cheezits & pretzels), then came the proposal- Griffin down on one knee, & then the wedding. Cassidy walk Courtney down the aisle & ran the ceremony while Josie was the photographer. Adults were not invited but we peaked through the windows. HILARIOUS! They even got them to kiss & have a 1st dance. Hats off to Cassidy & Josie for their creativity & getting their little brother & sister to go along with all the craziness. Super cute if I do say so myself!!

Disney's Princess Half Marathon

I have been relunctant to run a Disney race due to cost, but I thought I should try it once. It was F-U-N!!! Disney does it right, although they still over charge. A very fast course & I set a personal record (although 10 seconds off from running in the 1:40's...a goal for next race). I ran with Melissa & felt great- no concerns, but I always am happy for it to be over...miles 12 & 13 are always tough. Sadly, our families got rerouted & did not see us finish...perhaps next year they get up at 3:30 with us & drive us to the race (yeah, I can see that happening!!!)

S-C-O-R-E!

Josie scored on a penalty kick this past Saturday! I heard it was awesome ( I was driving a dance carpool). I did see the last 20 minutes of her game & her footwork is impressive. Way to hussle Jo!

Griffin's 1st game

Soccer season has finally started for Griffin. Still a bit apprehensive but he certainly loves to run through the parents tunnel & snacks at the end of the game. Always good for a laugh, although Josie cannot undersatnd why he is not more in the game!

Staycation

It was freezing out & we sat out in the rain for soccer games & we could not warm up the rest of the day. Josie had a great idea to go in the hot tub to warm up. That is exactly what we did. No margaritas but it was fun to sit around & pretend we were on vacation.
