The best pool

Despite icky weather...we pretended it was warm & sunny & played in the pool. Okay, so only the kids actually got in the pool...Cathy & I did sit in the jacuzzi, while Norma dipped her feet in. The pool eventually closed due to lightening, but we got some time in...back up to conceierge for snacks!

Cape May Brunch

Our annual bruch when Cathy & family come down to stay at The Beach Club. Yum. Although the weather did not completely cooperate, we had an enjoyable meal- the kids found themselves once again in the game room, so that the adults could sit & chat & relax after a big meal.

Josie's scoring streak continues

Josie had another awesome goal this week. She rushed the goal to follow up on a kicj & got there before the goalie...score! She can hustle. Way to go!

Soccer

Griffin started off energetic, but quickly tired..."My legs are tired" but apparently not too tired to go swimming at Aunt Cathy's pool. Suck it up Griffin!!! He totally picks up energy for the "tunnel" & snacks!

Friends, friends!

How lucky were we to see our closest friends Jenny & brian while we were away. This definitely what was made our trip so great. We got to see their kids & hang out with Jenny's parents. We will probably be heading back in 2 years, so we won't have to wait too long to meet up with them again

Ahhhh....

A quick weekend away to San Diego at probably one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed at. Lee = speaking at a conference/book signing...me = relaxing! Compared to most of his speaking trips, he had quite a bit of time off, not to mention 2 whole days of travelling to and from the west coast. Short, as always, I seem to get in to vacation mode just as we have to leave.

LAX

Both girls are playing Lacrosse this spring...it is a new sport to Celebration. Today were the 1st games- the girls are still learning the rules- they are having fun. We saw the end of Sydney's game & watched Josie for a few minutes (including a goal).

Family Fun Day

The company I work for had their annual Physicain Appreciation Day. We started out at a BBQ at Fort Wilderness & we got a day pass to the park of our choice (not such a big deal since we have passes). We went to Hollywood Studios where we battled the crowds...not fun. Our good friend, babysitter & American Idol Casting agent gave us a few FastPasses so we could go on Toy Story Mania. Yay! I finally broke 100,000 (125,900 to be exact). So my glutes are sore from running & my forearms are sore from pulling the trigger on TSM!

Griffin is starting to get the hang of it

Griffin is starting to participate more. We still think he is a bit young, but he enjoys playing with his teammates...and really enjoys the snacks at the end of the game

Josie Scores Two!

Josie scored 2 goals on Saturday. She played awesome & if I may brag a bit the referee came up to us after the game & gave her a few compliments not only of her skills, but her sportsmanship & knowledge of the game. Now that makes us proud.

Sydney performances at a Magic Game

Sydney was invited to perform at a Magic Game. Josie, Lee & I went to cheer her on. It was fun! We sat with the Luosey's & enjoyed watching Josie/Cassidy's enthusiasm as much as Sydney/Alex' performance. If the Magic makes it into the playoffs then they will have another opportunity to perform. Good job girls.

Good luck on FCATs Girls

Our efforts to produce a good breakfast before FCAT testing...eggs & bacon (although that doesn't qualify as a healthy breakfast in my opinion)- that was what the request was. We think they are well prepared...we hope they did great!!

Disney Day

Yay the weather has warmed up & Griffin & I were headed to the Magic Kingdom to have some fun & so I can walk off some of the post race tightness I was experiencing (code for my bottom was burning). It was crowded. I think I have to accept that there is no longer a slow season at Disney World. We still managed to have fun & ake it back in time to pick up the sisters. I love our afternoon outings.

Celebratory Outing

A friend of mine who also ran the half marathon invited me to a picnic to celebrate a great race. Oh my, a beer has never tasted so good! Beautiful weather, the kids ran around at the park, yummy food & I got to meet some other women runners! Very fun & spontaneous.

Congratulations Griffin & Courtney

The creativity is running deep...who says kids don't know how to make their own fun. Yesterday Cassidy & Josie (big sisters) decided to have a "wedding" for Griffn & Courtney. First came the proposal dinner (cheezits & pretzels), then came the proposal- Griffin down on one knee, & then the wedding. Cassidy walk Courtney down the aisle & ran the ceremony while Josie was the photographer. Adults were not invited but we peaked through the windows. HILARIOUS! They even got them to kiss & have a 1st dance. Hats off to Cassidy & Josie for their creativity & getting their little brother & sister to go along with all the craziness. Super cute if I do say so myself!!
