Spring (Arctic) Soccer Starts

Ok- I know our blood has thinned over the years, but it really was miserable out on the soccer fields yesterday. It was so cold & rainy that Griffin's game was cancelled. Although I brought my camera with...I failed to take pictures b/c I didn't want to get the camera wet (and I was too cold to move). Here is picture after we got home.

Father- Daughter Dance

Lee went one on one this year with Josie (Sydney declined)- which is good b/c we are always looking for one on one time with the kids. They went out to dinner & had a fun time at the dance. As always, convincing Josie to not wear flip flops in the middle of a cold spell is the biggest challenge.

Go Team USA!

We painted our faces & wore red, white & blue to cheer on Team USA during the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. It has been a fun Olympics to watch. I am fairly certain I missed the 2006 Winter Games due to a postpartem fog- I have notice few "new" competitions in the games since I have last watched...very cool. Exciting for sure.

Josie follows in Sydney's footsteps.

Josie also received straight A's on her report card- 1 of the 2 kids her class that accomplished that (hey if you can't brag on your own blog, where can you!). She is watching Sydney & becoming very diligent in her work. Ok- these pictures are terrible, but I had Griffin with me & he had to sit at the very top of the bleachers- the farthest point from Josie. Congrats Jo.

Sydney's Honor Roll

Congratulations to Sydney on another straight A report card. As we've said before- she works hard, stays organized, rarely complains & her hard work paid off. Headliners performed for the ceremony- the pictures in the gym are always poor quality...but still the moment was captured.

Drumming lessons

Griffin is a few months in to his drumming lessons- he really likes them. Definitely, Griffin is our child who is drawn to music/rhythm of all sorts. We are excited that he has this opportunity- it was hilarious watching him practice & learning the notes.

MSC International Festival

Last Griffin hated singing in front of the crowd. This year, he couldn't be more animated. Unfortunately, he was in the back row & it was difficult to get good pictures of him. He can sing pretty good in Swedish!!! It was very windy & wet- which kind of put a damper on things. But the kids were cute & the girls had fun volunteering. Plus Sydney got to kiss a camel- so she can check that off her list!

Our favorite furry friend

Sorry Lola...but we admit we love Mittens just a bit more. He just wants to be loved-he curls up every night with us & wants to be part of the action. Our only complaint is that he is constantly eating. He is HUGE & needs to shed a few pounds. He is bigger than a few of the dogs in our neighborhood. Our favorite 6 fingered furry friend!

The Apple Does Not Fall Far From The Tree

Look how we are training our little guy- all comfy in his Ritz-Carlton robe. This is his last gift from his baby shower compliments of our good friend Beth. Not surprisingly, Beth & I are no strangers to the R-C spa. He finally grew in to it and although I am not objective, looks adorable in it. Thanks Beth...maybe one day you & Griffie can have a spa outing together.
